Do you diagnose ADHD?

I don't provide formal ADHD testing or evaluations. I do work with adults who already have an ADHD diagnosis, strongly suspect they may have ADHD, or are still trying to make sense of what they're experiencing.

You don't need a diagnosis to start therapy with me. We can work with what's showing up in your life right now. If a formal evaluation would be helpful, I can also refer you to a trusted provider who offers ADHD testing.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I'm currently in network with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare.

Your exact cost will depend on your individual plan, including your deductible, copay, or coinsurance. If you're not sure what your benefits look like, we can help you check before your first session so you have a clearer idea of what to expect.

What if I have a different insurance?

You may still be able to receive reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.

I use Mentaya to make that process easier. They can estimate how much your insurance may reimburse you and submit claims on your behalf, which means less paperwork for you.

You can check your out-of-network benefits to get an estimate of what your plan may cover.

How much does a session cost?

The initial intake session is $200. Ongoing therapy sessions are $160 for 55 minutes.

If you're using insurance, what you pay will depend on your specific plan and benefits. If you're paying privately, you'll receive a Good Faith Estimate before we begin so there aren't surprises around cost.

I also offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. It's a chance for us to talk, for you to ask questions, and for both of us to get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

For many people, yes. Research has found that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and other common mental health challenges.

Many of the clients I work with also appreciate the flexibility of virtual therapy. You can meet from a private space without adding a commute or another trip across town to an already full day. For busy professionals, parents, and people juggling a lot of responsibilities, that can make therapy much easier to consistently prioritize.

Who can you work with?

I work with adults ages 18 and older who are physically located in New Jersey, North Carolina, or Florida at the time of their session.

Because I'm licensed in those three states, you'll need to be in one of them when we meet. If you're traveling outside of those states, let me know ahead of time and we can talk about rescheduling.

How long will I be in therapy?

There isn't one set timeline because therapy depends on what you want support with and how deeply you want to work.

Some clients come in with a specific concern and feel ready to wrap up after a few focused months. Others choose to stay in therapy longer because they're working through deeper patterns, relationships, past experiences, or ongoing personal growth.

We'll check in on your goals throughout our work together so therapy continues to feel intentional and useful. I don't believe in keeping people in therapy for the sake of staying in therapy.

Do you offer ADHD coaching?

Yes. ADHD coaching is available upon request.

Coaching may be helpful if you're looking for more practical support around things like organization, follow-through, time management, routines, prioritizing, or working with your brain instead of constantly feeling like you're fighting against it.
