Terms of use

These terms cover your use of pathtorisetherapy.com (the "site"), which is run by Path to Rise Therapy LLC. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

In a crisis? This site, its forms and my email are not monitored for emergencies. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

The site is information, not therapy

Reading the site, sending a message, calling, or booking a free consultation does not make you my client and does not create a therapist and client relationship. That relationship starts only after we both agree to work together, you complete intake, and you sign the consent and practice policies I share through my client portal.

Blog posts, the FAQ and everything else on the site are general information. They are not medical, psychological or legal advice, and they don't replace care from a licensed professional who knows your situation.

Who I can work with

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida. I offer virtual sessions to adults 18 and older who are physically located in one of those states at the time of each session. If you'll be somewhere else, tell me before the session so we can reschedule.

Booking and other services

Consultation requests, scheduling, intake forms, billing and telehealth run through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant practice platform. When you use it, SimplePractice's own terms and privacy policy also apply. Links to other websites are offered for convenience. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Fees and client policies

Current fees and insurance details are on the FAQ. If you pay on your own, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Cancellation, payment and other practice policies are explained in the client agreement you receive at intake.

Your privacy

How the site handles information is explained in the Privacy policy. How I protect your health information as a client is explained in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

Using the site

Please don't misuse the site. That includes trying to break into it, disrupting it, uploading harmful code, collecting other people's information, or using it for anything unlawful. Please don't send detailed health information through email or the site. The consultation form and the client portal are the right places for that.

Content ownership

The text, photos, logos and design on this site belong to Path to Rise Therapy LLC or are used with permission. You're welcome to share links to pages or posts. Please don't copy, republish or sell site content without written permission. The logos in the "As seen in" section belong to their owners and don't mean those organizations endorse this practice.

No guarantees

I work to keep the site accurate and current, but it's provided "as is." I can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or complete. Therapy results vary from person to person, and nothing on the site promises a particular outcome.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Path to Rise Therapy LLC and Yvette Ramos, LCSW are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages that come from using, or not being able to use, the site or the information on it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
